We’re partnering with world-renowned Yoga Educators & best-selling authors of Yoga Anatomy, Leslie Kaminoff & Amy Matthews.
Using what they’ve learned in their combined 50-years of experience training yoga teachers, they’ve created a unique online + in-person course that’s exclusively available through Teacher Training programs like ours.
This is not your average anatomy training.
Don’t expect hours of “which bone is which” that makes you feel like you’re back in high school science classes…
Leslie & Amy spend time on the things that matter most to a yoga teacher and skip the memorization.
They’ll help you establish a broad base of knowledge by sharing examples, analogies, stories, and guiding you through physical experiments that make the material helpful and applicable to teaching yoga to students.
Leslie & Amy will also share their own favourite teaching strategies like…
* How to make poses accessible for any student
* What to do when students have an injury and still want to practice
* Simple cues that help every student find success on the mat
Leslie and Amy’s unique blend of humour and expertise make them the absolute best team to guide you through this phase of your journey.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You’ll join Amy & Leslie at home via your computer for 20-hours of guided lesson content, reflection, personal exploration, and teaching preparation.
They’ll lead you through movement experiments that will help you apply anatomy ideas to your own practice, and give you tools you’ll be able to access as a teacher. You’ll have time to soak up the material and try it out it in your own asana practice.
Then we come together as a group, you’ll already have a strong foundation. Our group time will be spent in hands-on application. We’ll discuss, share movement exercises, and observe exactly how this information interweaves with our Yoga Rhythms style.
By the time we’re finished, you’ll have a broad understanding of the anatomical concepts that are most important to a yoga teacher so you can teach with confidence.

Yin Yoga, taught effectively, comes with an understanding of skeletal variation and meridian theory, put simply, getting away from how a pose looks, and focusing instead on how it feels, integrating internal and external and creating an overall sense of well-being.
In this weekend training you will learn the elements of a balanced Yin Yoga practice, also how to incorporate Yin poses into a general Yoga class.
We use the poses of Yin to get into the body, with the emphasis on long-held, passive stresses on the deeper connective tissues, Yin Yoga mobilizes and strengthens our joints, ligaments and deep facial networks. Practised mainly on the floor, the intention is to support the body in releasing chronic tension and facilitate a greater range of movement, in turn allowing greater ease throughout the body/mind.
Join Jo and explore the foundations of Yin, class preparation and delivery.
Practice Yin poses, adjusting and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and your body, finding more stillness and depth.

Samkhya Philosophy explains how we devolved from an expansive inclusive state of being to a limited personal perspective.
The process of yoga will let you identify the cause of this personal perspective, and help you to reevaluate any misperceptions.
When everything you perceive makes it through your mind unaltered, you will reveal the expansive, inclusive state.
Internal suffering is the best gauge of your progress.
When events no longer ‘trigger’ your buttons, when your helpful habitual patterns are stronger than the harmful ones, then you can act consciously, deliberately and compassionately, then you have mastered your mind.
When a situation causes you to suffer and you allow hurtful past conditioning to influence your reaction, it’s time to weed out the underlying cause.
This workshop will give you the tools to do just that.
Explore your mind through Samkhya and Yoga, refine and simplify.
As you identify which aspect of mind is active you will be able to coordinate the functions of your mind and find rest in the still centre, while still fully engaged in the world.
