Following successful completion of any 200 hour yoga teacher training course, this 150 hour ‘Yogic Lifestyle’ course will complete your Level 1 certificate in Yoga Teacher Training. See the table below to learn more about what’s involved.

Yoga Asana

  • 200hr Asana review
  • Refine your physical and energetic alignment – and teaching
  • Teaching styles – Yin, Power Vinyasa, Restorative, Partner, Pregnancy
  • Safety – within each pose and transition to support healthy joints.
  • The Spine – backbends, forward bends and twists for all abilities.

Anatomy and Physiology

  • 200hr Functional Anatomy Review
  • Muscles, movements and how to engage, strengthen and stretch.
  • How to adapt the practice for specific physical challenges.

Yogic Anatomy and Physiology

  • 200hr Yogic Physiology Review
  • Prana and the Vayus – the currents within the body
  • The Bandhas – directing the prana
  • Mudras – hand positions for health and harmony

Yogic History and Philosophy

  • 200hr Philosophy Review
  • Patanjali’s Sutras – Samadhi Pada – Bliss explained
  • Karma and astrology – how we come to be here
  • Tantra – Gods and Goddesses seed sounds
  • The Yugas – from darkness to the light, the bigger picture

Pranayama and Meditation

  • 200hr practices review
  • Yoga Nidra – the yogic sleep
  • Sitali and Sitkari – the cooling breath
  • Bhastrika – The Breath of Fire
  • Teaching Pranayama and Meditation

Our programs allow students to totally immerse themselves in the teachings, philosophy and practices of yoga. In the Philosophy and Physiology workshops you will explore the impact of your thoughts and feelings on your life energy, and then practice techniques that will benefit your body and mind. In the asana and anatomy workshops you will learn the practicalities of teaching, how to safely adjust the poses to suit your body and how to facilitate this for others.

There is plenty of hands on experience in our courses. You will have the opportunity to apply the practices, teachings and philosophy, in small supportive groups, exploring meditation, mantra, asana variations, pranayama, teaching techniques, assisting, specialized classes and much more.
