Yin Yoga taught effectively, comes with an understanding of skeletal variation and meridian theory, put simply, getting away from how a pose looks, and focusing instead on how it feels, integrating internal and external and creating an overall sense of well-being.

In this weekend training you will learn the elements of a balanced Yin Yoga practice, also how to incorporate Yin poses into a general Yoga class.

We use the poses of Yin to get into the body, with the emphasis on long-held, passive stresses on the deeper connective tissues, Yin Yoga mobilizes and strengthens our joints, ligaments and deep facial networks. Practised mainly on the floor, the intention is to support the body in releasing chronic tension and facilitate a greater range of movement, in turn allowing greater ease throughout the body/mind.

Join Jo and explore the foundations of Yin, class preparation and delivery.

Practice Yin poses, adjusting and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and your body, finding more stillness and depth.

Time: 6pm – 8pm Friday + 8am – 5pm Saturday + Sunday
