Jo MooreYoga Teacher Trainer
As the Founder of Yoga Rhythms, Jo has a passion for people and yoga. The Yoga Rhythms creative teaching style creates space for students to pursue their own inspired practice – while relieving stress, finding strength and flexibility in the body and calming the mind.

As a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia, Jo has been a devoted student of yoga for over 20 years. She completed her Yoga Chi Gung Training with Grant Woolven at the Creative Health Institute in Brisbane in 1997, then explored Iyengar with Shri in Redcliffe. In 2003 Jo completed Training with Radiant Light Yoga in Cooloolabin and attained certification from the Michael King Pilates institute that year. More recently Jo completed training in Foundations of Svaroopa yoga, Bliss Baby prenatal yoga, and 100 hours of Yin Yoga Teacher Training.

Ever a student, Jo feels honoured and blessed to share the knowledge of her teachers and mentors. Swami Satyadharma awakened in her a love of Philosophy which she passionately shares with students on The Yoga Rhythms and Yogabodyworks Newcastle Teacher Training Courses.

Laura Phipps
Laura PhippsYoga Teacher Trainer/ Ayurvedic Workshop
Laura has a deep interest in the mind-body connection. Growing up with Jo’s passion for yoga and being exposed to a variety of modalities through various courses and trainings she has completed, Laura’s teaching style focuses on the link between the mind, the body and overall health and wellbeing.

In 2015 Laura completed a 12 month certificate 4 in Ayurveda, in 2014 a Yin and Power yoga teacher training and in 2012, a 12 month training in Hatha yoga teacher training. Inheriting her mother’s passion for learning Laura has spent the last 4 years undertaking intensive trainings in energetics and meditation, working closely with her teacher in Byron Bay.

Laura strongly believes that balance needs to be achieved in all aspects of life, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – to enable peaceful living. Her teachings aim to share her knowledge in a practical way, giving you a strong structured class on the mat and tools to use in your day to day living.

Karl Jaross
Karl JarossYoga Teacher Trainer
Karl is a Newcastle native, and Indigenous Australian who has acquired a deep connection with nature and the unseen realms; he calls himself an intuitive, and believes true wisdom comes from experience. He has a diploma in Advanced Horticulture and studied Bush food Production on the far North Coast with forest forager Peter Hardwick. From high-rise construction concrete placement, to living at sea for months at a time he has journeyed in search for true meaning.

From an early age personal transformation and finding answers to addictive behaviors were a life and death situation for him, and the beginning of a long road to personal power and freedom. As the years passed, he found meditation the key ingredient to maintaining purpose and health, yet it wasn’t until he attended his first yoga class that the final piece came into play. Yoga became a way out of the stresses and strains of life, not only had he found a way to cleanse his mind, but his physical body as well, the yoga union was now a reality.

In 2006 he completed 360 hours Teacher Training with his great friend Jo Moore, he is a 700 hour accredited YAAI instructor. In 2014 he trained in Thailand with Yin Master Paul Grilley (YYTT Level 1: Anatomy & Theory) and USA (YYTT Level 2: Chakras & Meridians). Karl’s classes consist of Flow to Yin, followed by Chakra Meditations, something he now terms Spine Spice.

He returned to Newcastle from QLD in 2010 to introduce its people to Hot Power Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yin/Yang yoga teacher training, he is also accredited with providing its community with highly professional and successful prenatal and mum’s and bubs yoga classes, he is a visionary with the sole purpose of helping create positive change in our society and the collective consciousness.

Stevie-Jae’s personalised yoga classes are dynamic, restorative and suitable for all ability levels. She completed her 350hr Level 1 Teacher Training with Yoga Rhythms in 2013 and has since specialised in Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga, Hypnobirthing, Children’s Yoga and Mum and Baby Yoga. With over 10 years of experience as a Biology teacher, her anatomy and physiology knowledge underpin her approach to teaching.

Eileen Hartley
Eileen Hartley Teacher
Eileen has been practicing yoga since 2000 and completed Yoga Rhythms Teacher Training in 2007. Since then, Eileen has been teaching classes around the Morayfield / Caboolture area. Eileen brings a gentle approach to her classes whilst also offering more challenging options and variations.
Louise Bed
Louise BedYoga Teacher
Louise has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and completed the 350 hour level one teacher training with Yoga Rhythms in 2016.
A special interest in Seniors yoga, Louise has recently undertaken Levels 1 and 2 – Yoga for Healthy Aging courses with Pine Rivers Yoga School. She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (QUT 1986).
Lou has taught a range of physical modalities since 1982, working in dance studios, gyms, health clubs, and high schools. A long term meditator, she loves the breadth and depth yoga and meditation
bring to her life and the lives of her students.
Rori Cross Brown
Rori Cross BrownTeacher
Rori graduated from Yoga Rhythms in 2016 and teaches private Yoga Rhythms classes in Byron Bay. Rori’s style is a combination of heat generating dynamic vinyassa and cooling hatha to nurture and relax.
Aleea Moodie

Toowoomba based, born and raised this harmonium playing ‘wannabe hippie’ is animated and energetic! Completing her 350hr Yoga Rhythms teacher training in 2016, Aleea is passionate about delivering yoga classes designed for all types of people. Allea encourages a judgement free zone and is looking forward to teaching and guiding you safely through your yoga experience.
Leonora Kilshaw

Leonaora teaches a Yoga Rhythms style hatha vinyassa class. Classes are general and offer a range of options for beginners and more advanced practitioners. Current students range in age from 11 years old to seniors and anyone who is comfortable moving between standing, seated and floor poses will be able to enjoy the class.

With 10 years experience in the fitness industry, Heidi specializes in functional training and injury rehab. Heidi completed her Yoga Teacher Training through Yoga Rhythms with Jo Moore and will be teaching functional anatomy workshops for Yoga Rhythms.
